Xypher was having yet another spat with Ivory and wanted nothing to do with her. She had stolen his favorite jacket and given it to her stupid reaper boy toy. Xypher was far from pleased at thins. The reaper boy was going to get it one of these days. Actually, if it wasn't for Ivory stopping him, her boy toy would be dead. Anger was seething from his every pore and he wanted to stab someone.
After stealing his jacket back from the boy toy, Xypher threw it on while yelling at Ivory before slamming the door and leaving. He was supposed to protect the girl, but right now she had the reaper boy and he had had enough. So he left and headed to the Elysian Fields. It was nice there. So much peace and quite. Plus he could talk to all the heroes of old. Achilles was his favorite, and they chatted often. Achilles had a bad attitude and extreme fighting skill. Many of the more complex moves in Xypher's skill set had been taught to him by Achilles himself. It was nice to at least have one person to talk to who didn't try to walk all over him.
Sitting in Charon's boat, Xypher waited patiently to cross the river Styx. The boat master was rather nice, although not exactly talkative. When Xypher was mad he would just watch him and when he was with Ivory, the boat master would make faces at her when she looked away. The man could boost his spirits.
Thinking to himself, Xypher wondered if the other horsemen were like Ivory. He hadn't ever really met the others and only met a few banshees for maybe five minutes in total. Lucky him. Rubbing his forehead he waited till they docked, tipped Charon and headed to the Fields. His converse shoes crunched the dirt under his feet. It was lovely, hopefully he would get to see Achilles and spar to get some anger out of his mind.

"There is no room for clouded judgement" Ivy nodded as always. She and the warrior of the past both sat upon a grassy mound and looked "skyward." From their position the Fields offered a nice view of Styx and a pleasant looking garden where Ivy could hear laughter.
Was this the reason her family lived here? So those who once were could pester her with things she already knew. She smirked when she could hear him chuckle, "Must get annoying, huh?" He asked while Ivy's smile only grew from his statement.
"What do you mean?" She asked as she pulled her gaze away from the bright and colorful sky to look at him. The Four Horse Riders often came here to be educated on the past. War tactics, languages, history and so much more was taught to them by those who started it.
"The constant reminders, 'nagging' and pressure." He laughed again and bumped her shoulder with his. "Annoyed the shit out of me."
He declared as he stretched out on top of the grassy mound. "It does get repetitive." She grinned and pulled her knees up against her chest so she could prop her chin against them. This is why she always came here, to this spot. He, Achilles, had traded her in the way of the sword but in the conquering of the mind. "Did you advise my father too?" Ivy asked, the question seemed to form for the first time. She shifted her head so she looked down at him laying on the grass. "Am I like him?" Another thing Ivy wondered but this was a question she had often contemplated. But before she got her answer the two heard someone approaching. They both shifted positions to get a better view of the new comer. Was it odd that she didn't feel safe sitting right beside the one and only Achilles. Tobias was her Banshee and she had left without telling him where she was going. She often thought he needed his own time, as did she. He would find her eventually, like he always did. Playing hide and seek with that boy growing up, sucked. She smiled at the warm memory. "Ah! Xypher" Achilles called to him once he was close enough to distinguish his features. Ivy allowed herself to exhale. "Brother!" Again Achilles welcomed him. "Xypher-" Ivy mumbled his name, her lips pulling tight against one another as she suppressed a smile. She had heard his name from time to time, mostly it included the words "ass" or "bastard" in front of it from the lips of Ivory. This was going to be interesting. [/blockquote]

Hunting around, Xypher finally found Achilles, sitting with some girl. Interesting. As far as he knew, he was the only student Achilles had. How odd that the greek hero chose another person to train, let alone a female. He had noted over their shared time that Achilles still had some rather, lets say, Greek views on women. Well, atl east he thought like a Spartan where women could be used. Course he always said men were better than them, but he had never stopped Ivory from drinking when they had come here together. On the other hand, the only girl Xypher had seen around Achilles that wasn't dead was Ivory and well, lets face it, no one could treat her like a normal girl.
Meeting Achilles half way between his previous location, before he had been spotted, and where the girl was, Xypher embraced him like a long lost comrade. Taking Achilles hand he pulled him close with their hands between them. Hugging him with his free arm, Xypher grinned while Achilles embraced him back. "Achilles! My brother!" The embrace was usual for the two men, along with many of the greeks and romans Xypher had encountered. Alexander the Great was another that warranted a hug as he had taught him war stragtegy, as much as it bothered Achilles. As good as Achilles was at combat, Alexander was much better at the big picture idea. He was far better at comanding large amounts of troops while Achilles had taught him how to fight individually and in small groups.
Noting the girl Xypher noticed something off about her. Obviously she wasn't dead, else he wouldn't sense her with every fiber in his body. This feeling was like when he was around Ivory. He could tell exactly where she was at any given time and it annoyed him for the most part. It was like the sense of death, but constant and less pleasent. The feeling around Ivory was like a tickle on his spin while the feeling of death was like a punch to the stomach. How he loved his life some days.
So with this awkward feeling on his spine, Xypher looked her over. She didn't look to special. Hot. But not special in any way. Raising an eyebrow at the girl Xypher figured she must be another one of the horsemen. Why else would Achilles be teaching her? there had to be something that made her special. Being a horseman would be a logical reason. Looking her over once more he had the urge to hit on her but had an odd feeling that would get him absolutely no where. Too bad. He would get enjoyment out of it, and Ivory would be pissed.
"Xypher," he said with and outstretched hand. Looking back at Achilles he asked, "why are you training a horseman? Shouldn't you be training her banshee? He was confused and it didn't help that Achilles just grinned and shrugged. Lovely. Achilles was ever useful when he chose to be. Sighing Xypher figured he was just going to have to find out for himself. Fantastic. He was such a people person. What could go wrong with that? Besides the fact that is he was right on the horseman thing, he'd never hear the end of it from Ivory if he screwed up.

Ivy watched as Achilles welcomed Xypher. It was something interesting to witness. Two warriors embracing each other with the highest of honor. This was her world and times like these reminded her why she loved it so. The warriors of new were able to respect and learn from those of old.
She stayed in her comfortable sitting position. Allowing them to greet on another. Ivy didn't wish to hog Achilles all to herself and from an early age she was taught to share. Besides her view of the Fields was breath taking and she didn't have the urge to completely pull her attention away from it just yet.
It was like the ground vibrated as they both warriors approached her. Banshee the words or image appeared in her mind for a brief moment. The Four had the ability to identify those in the Underworld which was all a part of training to one day rule. Knowing your people.
"Xypher." An introduction she assumed which was nice. Creatures usually stay clear of her, granted they knew who she was and didn't want to ignite some unknown fire. Ivy had raised her hand and placed it into his but before she could utter another word he spoke again. "Why are you training a horseman? Shouldn't you be training her banshee? Ivy's eyes grew wide. Seriously? Was she thought to not be able to do a single thing herself?
As he finished his statement Ivy's hand had landed into his. Instead of simply shaking it and being "lady like" by introducing herself, she couldn't do that now. In a sense, he had challenged her.
Tightening her hand around his, Ivy pulled with all her strength. Catching the banshee male off balanced and caused him to crash into the soft grass. Was Ivy done? No.
"Never show your back-" Ivy could hear the instructions in her mind as if they were being spoken out loud. Spinning around she straddled the Banshee. Her legs squeezing against his ribs tightly. She moved fast, extremely fast. Pinning his arms with her knees and grasped his neck with one of her hands while the other pressed against the grass to steady her.
"Because-" Ivy finally felt the need to speak as she struggle with the Banshee for a moment. She lowered her mouth to his ear and whispered, "No Banshee can conquer like I can." Her white blonde hair fell all around her face as she spoke. "And no Queen would ever allow herself or people to be utterly defenseless." Her lips slightly touching his ear as she spoke.
Slowly she rose and released his neck, just shoving at it slightly. Her free hand combed through her hair and pushed it back. She stood over him for a moment and just smirked. "I'm Ivy - Ivy White." She said with a grin.
"And that is how you are like your father-"
Ivy glanced over her shoulder, almost forgetting that Achilles was watching. She slightly blushed, she hardly let herself be seen like this, yet it was thrilling all on its own. [/blockquote]

Xypher was caught unaware as she tugged on his hand, trying to trip him. He could have easily caught himself, but then it would be showing off. Normally, that was fine but he was gealing with a rider. Riders were automatically given stature and as much as Xypher wanted to punch her in the throat he couldn't. There was a few reasons, but mainly she was a girl and a rider. Rider's are far to important for him to lose his temper on. Falling to the ground, Xypher caught himself so it didn't hurt to bad. Letting out a "oof" Xypher hit the ground with a thud. The 'oof' however was more for theatrics as it sounded WAY worse than it was.
Rolling over he was quickly greeted with the girl sitting on his chest and squeezing his throat. Fabulous. He didn't move and just let her do it with nothing more than a look that said 'what-the-hell-is-wrong-with-you.' Oddly, she made this situation more sexual by leaning down and whispering in his ear. In the background he could hear Achilles snickering. Yet another good thing for Xypher. Heaven forbid Achilles helped get the psycho off of his chest. No no no. Let's leave her there when he can't retaliate without basically losing his life. There was evil in the world, but he was a banshee and he couldn't go against the riders. Why did she have to be a rider any ways? Why couldn't she be a mermaid or something. He wouldn't put it past Achilles to take physical comfort in a woman, but why did he instead choose to train a freaking horseman?
When the girl finally got off his chest, Xypher stood with a hint of annoyance in his eyes. His anger was threatening to over whelm him, but the rider knowledge was firmly planted in his mind to keep him from acting . Brushing off his clothes, adjusted his outfit to cover where the blood had ran to during the process of having a hot girl straddling his chest and whispering in his ear.
"For the record" Xypher said after getting her name. "Next time you plan on straddling me and whispering in my ear; I'd advise being naked. It makes things more fun and its better than having you attempt to crush my throat Ivy." At that, Achilles began to laugh and Xypher rolled his eyes in response. Achilles was a good mentor, but was a dirty, dirty man.
When Achilles said something about Ivy's father, and a small streak of jealousy ran through Xypher. It wasn't fair that he knew nothing of his past. He didn't even know who he was. Yet here was a girl who was getting information about her family from none other than the great Achilles. Life is always so fair isn't it?
Walking away, he went to lay down, sprawled out on a large rock, looking like a lizard. It felt so good to just enjoy the 'sun.' He had no interest in the girl and her information session, but Achilles seemed to. Throwing a spear at him, Xypher caught the spear without even looking at it.
'Fight each other,' Achilles requested to which Xypher shook his head. He wasn't one to fight a rider. Besides, she had proved she hates losing. Seems kind of pointless if you know how it's going to end, win or lose. Either way it was up to Ivy as he was still a subbordant. She had the last say.

It wasn't everyday that Ivy got disappointed, "Be aware Banshee, the only thing I will ever ride is my horse." She replied to his statement about her being naked while straddling him.
She was expecting more from the Banshee. He was so submissive. She rolled her eyes as he moved away from her. So typical. At least her Banshee had the balls to comfort her.
In a sense he actually ran away. "Uh-" Was her only reply. It was always like this. She wasn't made of glass. She glared up at Achilles, as if saying "see" his only reply was a shrug. No matter much she challenged herself and others it never was enough.
Ivy moved away as well. She watched out of the corner of her eye as Achilles eyed them both, she suddenly felt like a game piece in a tactical game he was playing in his head. He, obviously, had something in mind. Again, she rolled her eyes, Ivy had the feeling this was going to mess up her hair. Taking a tie that was wrapped around her wrist Ivy dragged all her hair into a pony and tied it all together with the elastic band.
Achilles whistled to gain her attention and out of the corner of her eye she saw the spear he threw at her. He grasped it with her dominate hand and watched as he did the same to the Banshee.
"Fight each other." Ivy liked the sound of that. She didn't bother to hide the grin on her face. She began to stretch, allowing her arms to reach skyward and moving her body to awaken unused muscles. Ivy had always liked that Achilles wished to teach her, not "cherish" her.
"I was always told that Banshee were skilled fighters, supposedly the best." She said with a casual shrug. She felt like taunting him since he, like everyone before him, seemed hesitant to the thought of fighting her.
"What if it was I how challenged the life of your Rider, Banshee?" She inched towards him slowly. Conversation in battle was always fun. Of course that wasn't the case but she wished to strike at him mentally and physically, she was a woman after all and they were never satisfied with just physically hurting someone. "Would you be so submissive in battle if you were the only thing standing in the way between myself and your Rider?"

Xypher was annoyed with the great Achilles. He always did this to him. Xypher knew he shouldn't fight her as a matter of his duty, but, at the same time, she deserved it. She had tossed him to the ground and sat on his chest without him getting anything. Honestly, his pride was feeling the blow. He quite liked the fight the girl put up, but she was no match with Ivory when it came to pure bitchiness. Then again, there probably wasn't a person alive or dead that tried his patience like his annoying charge.
Using the spear to leverage himself off he rock, Xypher stood in a relaxed pose. He didn't bother the stretch or limber up in any way, it had never been a problem for him. Banshee's were made to fight, there was no point in stretching. In a real attack they wouldn't let you have time to stretch, so why would he train like that? If he trained like that it would put him at a disadvantage when a real battle came. Achilles had hated that about Xypher, but Xypher continued to just tell Achilles off. For now though, Achilles was smirking at him and Ivy was stretching like a mortal.
"Well then you were told correctly," Xypher replied. She was trying to play a mental game but Xypher was smarter than that. He had logic, reason and amazing fighting skills on his side. His only real downfall was his anger, but in battle he was far better at controling it. This was mainly thanks to the many beatings he had gotten from Achilles, Jason, Hector and Herakles. Every time he was about to win they would toy with his anger and he would lose. Now he was getting better at it, although a few things set him off. Fortunately only Ivory and Achilles knew those.
Unfortunately for Xypher there was one phrase that could render him in a mode of anger and hate so that nothing could stop him. Ivory learned it and had used it to piss him off into killing twenty werewolves to protect her. He had been saving her, and she had commented how he wasn't doing well. When she muttered 'no wonder you don't know your family. What would they want to be associated with a pathetic loser like you?' Xypher lost it. He had killed everything and couldn't remember doing so until he snapped out of it and had his spear tip on Ivory's throat. Fortunately she had never done it since, and had kept that a secret.
"If you had challenged Ivory I'd probably let you have her. Incase you haven't noticed we're not exactly on the best terms and she could probably handle her own. Besides, why would I want to take away her fun?" Xypher knew that the riders cared about each other deeply and no one stood between them so it wasn't really and issue for the banshee. Leaning on his spear Xypher shrugged at the girl as she continued her speech.
The girl was inching closer, preparing to attack him. Xypher didn't even shift his weight as he spoke up,"I have an odd feeling your banshee would be doing your fighting for you. Why risk messing up your hair right?" With that Xypher moved, just as fast as she had before. Lightly hitting her stomach with the stick end of his spear, Xypher moved around to cut her pony tail. Once it was cut he leaned on his spear once more with a cocky grin on his lips. " Still wanting to play little girl?

Ivy gripped the waxed spear. As far as she could remember a weapon was always in her hand. She glanced down at it for a moment and memories flowed her mind. A bow, the one weapon she preferred above all others. Of course it was in her blood to like the bow and arrow, it was the symbol of the House of White. Battle was not in her blood but the urge to conquer always over took the young blood.
When Ivy was younger she often contemplated whether her future would follow her fathers. She didn't want to be the next rider, then. Now, as she got older it felt right and needed. The Underworld was connect by everyone, Ivy was a piece in the game just like everyone else.
Coming back to reality for a moment Ivy hadn't realized that the Banshee had struck her stomach, she cupped the area out and she watched as white fibers of her hair fell to the grassy floor. Newly layered strands fell to frame her face. What was hair? She asked herself, watching the strands catch rays of light as it slowly floated to the ground.
"You remind me so much of a human." Ivy shook her head and smirked. Ivy was a Rider of the Apocalypse, she didn't need her hair to carry out that duty. "You speak the opposite of what you truly mean and you think of striking at materialistic things." She louder her spear and glanced at Achilles and she shook her head. "You are not worthy to fight a Rider or fight beside one." She said this softly but knew her words were heard.
"This isn't a world of games-" It actually angered her that he thought this was a game and continued to be so nonchalant. This was her life, all she ever knew and would ever know. She turned and approached Achilles, "Next time, bring me a warrior worthy of battle-" She threw the spear end into the ground next to the ancient warrior.
She had, long ago, realized she had to grow up a lot fast then those around her but when it came to battle, age was a number and a sword would pierce any's flesh.

Fighting was the one thing Xypher knew inside and out. He had trained everyday of his life that he remembered and could kill anyone with anything. Weapons surrounded him twenty four seven and each was practiced with at least once a week. Spears of course were not his weapon of choice as he couldn't carry one without raising alarm since most people thought him insane. He wasn't, but it was almost easier to let people believe he was. When he was considered crazy people left him alone and didn't ask him for favors.
The only reason they thought that was because he was the most ruthless of the banshee's and treated Ivory the way she treated everyone else. To Xypher, this was just self defence. Why should he have to be treated like crap while protecting her. He never asked to be her guardian (that he knew of) and he didn't want to be treated like a slave. Maybe other people could, but it wasn't in Xypher's bones. He was a fighter. Born and raised. Nothing could stop his jerk persona; not even Ivory.
Girlfriends was problems, and thus Xypher didn't have any. Of course he had many girls try, but he perfered to sleep with them and leave it at that. It wasn't like he didn't satisfy them or anything, he just didn't want to be arm candy. Besides, what girl in their right mind would deal with him following Ivory anywhere? He had been dragged into underwear stores, playgrounds and classes for the girl, how would a girlfriend deal with that? People were far to jealous for that. So he was alone.
Bringing his mind back to the hot girl who was currently talking to him, Xypher forced himself to listen. She was calling him a human or something stupid like that and he couldn't care less. He was a banshee and was obviously one of the best as he was a guard of a rider. Raising an eyebrwo, Xypher didn't feel the need to respond to her. He honestly wasn't fond of materialistic things as he honestly would wander around completely nude if it was socially allowed (yet another problem with Ivory dictating his life, he couldn't be a nudist). The only materials he liked and didn't mind paying for were books and weapons. The weapons were his protection and his books were his escape. As much as Xypher didn't look it, his room was cluttered with books.
His temper sky rocketed when the girl called him unworthy of battle. The was wrong and low. He was the one who scared other banshee's. He could kill anyone who got in his path and HE was the brightest in all his classes. Xypher was a typhoon with social issues. He may understand facts, but people and emotions were out of his range. Right now however, he was learning the rage problem all over again. God he wanted to spear the girl right through.
On the brightside, he hadn't hit complete suicidal bastard yet and decided against spearing her in the back. In the long run it wasn't that bad. She would go to Elysian Fields, and the remaining three would devour the earth. Why should he care about the humans? According to them his race was supposed the be composed of screaming ghost-like girls. Definately not. The humans needed to be taught a lesson, and this one could be easily arranged.
Purposely throwing his spear half an inch away from her neck it lodged firmly in a tree. He hadn't put much effort into the throw as he was strong enough to make the spear get eternally stuck in the tree (or at least close to it). Taking a deep breath, Xypher turned on his toes and headed towards a fovorite spot fo the Nymphs. Maybe they could calm his temper before he actually killed the dumb girl. Just as he was leaving he yelled at Ivy and Achilles, "real warriors fight with a weapon not words. Cowards are the ones who use trickery. Good to know Achilles has fallen once again to training the stupid." Xypher almost added Patrocles' name to the roster, but shut his mouth last minute. Behind him he heard Achilles talking to Ivy. Achilles was trying to keep his temper, but Xypher didn't care. Maybe he would die at the heroes hand and be free of this crap. One never knows.

Ivy felt the wind move her hair as the spear flew inches close to her neck. She smirked up at Achilles as they both heard the thump of the wood weapon stick into a tree. Her smile only grew. He obviously didn't like to be challenged - typical. How easy it was to conquer.
Ivy slightly turned as the banshee yelled at her from a distance. "Real warriors fight with a weapon not words. Cowards are the ones who use trickery. Good to know Achilles has fallen once again to training the stupid." Ivy's hand rubbed at her eyes, it would seem this was a constantly happened. "What a disappointment-" Ivy mumbled as Achilles still looked at the spear in the tree. The ancient warrior was not too happy about one of the riders coming so close to death. Ivy just shrugged it off.
"Real warriors fight with a weapon not words. Cowards are the ones who use trickery. Good to know Achilles has fallen once again to training the stupid." Ivy's eyebrows arched. "Yet you still speak." She made sure she said it loud enough for him to hear. The banshee was running away. "A warrior is one with their intellect and body. They use both as a weapon-" It aggravated her that she was within a small handful of others that could see this. "You are easy prey since you let simple words cut you down. No sword may but you but allowed me to slice you apart with mire verbal threats. You, Banshee, are weak." Hell, if no one was going to tell him, she would.
Ivy had to learn at such a young age that she would have to be blunt. For some reason, this usually hurt those around her. Yet again, another human trait that would appear in so many hellish creatures. Ivy had separated herself from her soul long ago. She had no other choice. This was the life of a horse rider, one that was not your own.
Glancing up at Achilles she sighed, "When will I ever find my equal?" She looked him up and down. He even tried to say something, a simple 'well thanks' or 'what am I?' but she interjected him quickly. "That hasn't already met the Reaper."

To Xypher bravery was something that had to be proved. This girl wasn't proving anything. She was mearly testing his patience and he was not a fan of people like that. A real warrior would fight him and not mearly flee which was the path she had chosen. This was a pointless fight as she didn't even have the courage to face him in actual battle. To bad the girl was worthless to him. She couldn't fight and was to coward to try.
"Real warriors actually fight instead of backing away," he told her. She was running away from a battle and thinking she was great because of it. "Warriors also know their weaknesses and deal with them. Or at least they at least attempt to fight, wether prepared or not. If you die, you die. At least they try and don't just run away." His back was still turned to her and he couldn't care less. Achilles told him not to do that on multiple ocassions but he still did it. The girl obviously wasn't a threat to him and it wasn't like she could land a punch if she tried.
Behind him he heard Achilles sigh at Ivy's thoughts of supperiority. Looking over his shoulder he saw the great Achilles about to interject her comment. Laughter escaped Xypher's lips as he heard what she had said. "You know that attutide is what got Achilles here. It also brought down quite a few 'heroes' through history. I'd advise fixing that. I may get mad but at least I know my downfall. Pride can be a heartless bitch." Xypher knew Achilles was glaring at him, but who cared? The men were like brothers and Achilles trained him to be an even greater fighter than the hero. Achilles couldn't stay mad at him.
Grabbing his jacket off the rock he was laying on earlier, Xypher pulled it on. He was done with this, she wasn't worth his time. Maybe Achilles would actually teach her how to fight so he could beat her ego down. "Call me when your actually able to fight. I'll see you later Achilles. Oh, and by the way," Xypher flicked an ancient greek dagger out of his pocket. Without looking he placed the blade between his index and middle fingers. Flicking it back he knew he would hit her in the lower back, right beside her spine, so long as she didn't move. If she looked back there might be enough time to move, but it would still scratch her. He barely threw it though. It was just enough to cut some skin and then land at Achilles feet. "I cleaned that up for you Achilles. There was a lot of rust on the blade."
