Truth be told, Ivy loved to just walked the streets of this mortal realm. She rarely got a moment to herself and it seemed even in one of the largest cities in the human world she could find personal time. New York City was a place of dreams for a lot of humans. Ivy's brow arched as she thought about this, the smell alone of the place was disgusting, why would any mortal wish to make their dreams come true here. Granted, their eyes hadn't witnessed the beauty of the Elysian Fields.
Hands deep within her blue jean pockets Ivy continued to wonder from street to street. She wanted to find a small coffee shop she stumbled upon some time ago but had gotten lost in the maze of the city streets.
"Well-" She grumbled to herself as she turned down another street that didn't look familiar. "Maybe I took another gate?" She thought to herself. She even brought her index finger to her lip, trying to remember which gate she had taken to get into the city. Multiple gates in the underworld took individuals to different parts of the city.
"Damnit-" She thought to herself since her memory seemed to have failed her. Sighing out of frustration she continued to wonder like a human around the "Big Apple."

Iris stepped out of the gate leading from the underworld and appeared in a dark alley up in New York. Immediately she wrinkled her nose as the smell of trash from a nearby dumpster and a number of other foul smells hit her in the face almost like she had walked into a door. Iris ponders turning around and taking another gate to arrive in a better location, for a few moments before deciding that she could just as well end up in a less desirable location. Trying not to breathe too deeply as she walks pass the dumpster, Iris steps out of the alley and onto a busy New York sidewalk.
Picking a direction at random to walk, Iris vanishes into the sea of faces. The chaos of the human world bothered her some, but it wasn’t her mess to clean up, not unless that mess threatened the order and chaos of the underworld. Now wasn’t the time to dwell on such things however, she had come up to the mortal realm to escape it all and give herself sometime to think.
As she continued to wander down the crowded side walk she watched some of the humans, pondering why everyone in this city always seemed in such a hurry. ”Its like no one here ever has a moments rest and they all seem so stressed out, so why do they willingly come here?” Iris asks herself as she looses herself to her thoughts for a few moments when suddenly she notices a familiar face out of the corner of her eye.
”Ivy?” She calls out into the crowd and turns and waits for a response wondering for a moment if her voice had been drowned out by the hustle and bustle of city streets.

"Was it a left of 3rd and Broadway? Or a right?" Ivy debated on the corner. She still hadn't been able to decided which way this cafe had been. "Damnit-" She mumbled to herself out of frustration. As future horse rider of the Apocalypse you would think this girl would have a decent sense of direction - wrong.
Exhaling she thought about retreating back home or trying to find Lust or someone for that matter. After being "lost" in the big city, Ivy realized that she didn't really care about having personal time and just wanted her normal comforts. Her head dropped in defeat. "Maybe I could google the shop?" Ivy had heard that humans use the internet constantly to get their questions answered. They were such a lazy bunch, never seeking out the answers they needed hands on, allowing a computer to do it for them. What a pitiful race.
"Ivy?" She heard her name shouted. Automatically she tensed up, the warrior from within awaking. Ivy hadn't told anyone she was entering the mortal realm nor had she wanted to bring a Banshee to watch her back and for a split second she cursed her judgement. Slowly turning to follow where the voice that called out to her Ivy saw her and exhaled. "Irish-" She said the girls name along with the exit of air form her lungs. Ivy turned from her pursuit and approached her cousin, locking arms with her. "You devilish girl." She greeted her, "Scared me to death." She said with a smile. "I thought you might have been my father seeking me out for sneaking out of the realm." She giggled. Ivy had often got caught for sneaking out of the Underworld to venture off to other realms and all knew her father did not like it. So Ivy got into the habit of sneaking out and going behind her fathers back - a lot.
"What brings you here?" Ivy finally asked when it seemed her heart beat returned to normal. "I've been searching for a good coffee shop. Wish to join me?" Before she could answer any of her on going questions Ivy tugged her along to follow in pursuit for the missing cafe.

Iris watched the girl she had thought to be Ivy for a few moments and then grinned as she saw her tense up, knowing immediately it was her. ”I’m sorry, I was lost in my own thoughts and when I looked up I thought I saw you walk on by.” She explains, still grinning as they locked arms. She couldn’t help but giggling along with Iris as she mentioned her father, as Iris had been caught many times before usually with Lock or her fellow future horse riders of the Apocalypse. ”Don’t worry I made sure none of the banshee followed me so no one should know that we are here.”
She opened her mouth to respond to Ivy’s questions when she suddenly found herself being tugged along down the busy New York sidewalk and all that came out was a gasp of surprise as Ivy’s tug knocked herself off balance for a moment. After catching her balance she walked alongside Ivy, ”oh you know the usual reasons for being up here. Escaping the pressures and stresses of the Underworld.” She answers the first question as she stares down the row of buildings that line the bustling sidewalk.
”What brings you up here and which coffee shop are we looking for in particular?” She asks, as she squints her eyes trying to read the signs hanging off shops further down the sidewalk. Unfortunately though she wasn’t familiar with the places of the human world either, but maybe a name would jog her memory into remembering something and if not, well then at least she wasn’t alone and lost.

Ivy often acted silly. Why she did this? Well, because her life - their life consisted of constant orders and obligations. So when Ivy got alone with her "sisters" she only wished to make them happy and she had to act like a flake, so be it.
"Uh?" The sound escaped her throat. "There is this cafe place, somewhere around." Ivy smirked, tugging on Iris's arm a little more. "I just can't put my finger on where it is located exactly," Ivy looked up at the girl, her hand grasped some of her own blonde strains with a very wide grin. "I've been looking for it for a while but can't remember where we found it at." Ivy didn't wish to relieve who she had visited the cafe with because that was another story on its own.
"They have these comfy seats and the best hot chocolate and I usually hate chocolate!" She expressed hoping this would encourage Iris to come along - like she had a choice.
Ivy's sense of direction truthfully was down right rotten. But Ivy needed the comfort of this place. She needed to be reminded that things could be back to the way they were and her life wasn't destined to be something of famine and death. She wanted to see smiles again and this shop represented that. She allowed her "happy face" to fail her for once, granted she usually didn't have to pretend with her "sisters." As quick as it was there is vanished. "It's gotta be around here somewhere!" She tried to be encouraging.
